We’re officially kicking off Summer with a Virtual Pop-Up designed to support best-in-class brands. Everyone is looking for ways to enjoy the warmer months from home, with activities and products they’re sure to love. Join this special influencer-led event and be a part of our innovative experience.

UpNext is partnering with a trio of talented women for this edition: Vanessa Becker of A Little Off Beet, Alyssa Loring of Feathers and Stripes and Morgan Matkovic of Lilies and Lambs will co-host the event. The theme for this digital activation, slated to pop up Friday, June 26th through Sunday, July 5th, is “Staycation in Style.” All brands offering products or services with tie-ins to this low-key, family-friendly curation are encouraged to apply right away as space is limited.

Ideal categories include: outdoor lifestyle products (e.g. tabletop, decor, games and accessories), casual style for women and children, books, gourmet packaged foods, personalized gifts and other playful must-haves for creating a summer oasis at home.

An UpNext digital media kit will be provided, including:
> Social media story templates, graphics, and highlight reels, suggested newsletter and social content and copy
Hosting and promotion by three established influencers focused on the lifestyle/family space:
> Vanessa Becker of A Little Off Beet
> Alyssa Loring of Feathers and Stripes

Morgan Matkovic of Lilies and Lambs
> Hosts will ensure brands are highlighted via their own channels leading up to and throughout the pop-up period
Access to a wide audience through the power of collaboration:
> All participants will promote the pop-up through their respective channels to amplify its reach
Approachable breakpoint/revenue share rate structure to minimize upfront investment and risk

Following two successful pilots, UpNext is forging ahead with virtual pop-up formats and looking for innovative brand partners. This digital activation will be hosted by established influencers to create content and buzz using product samples provided by all participating brands, and includes a gallery of professional product shots for everyone’s use.

Key dates and details to keep in mind:

Pop-up participation will run 10 days, spanning Friday, June 26th through Sunday, July 5th* with pre-promotion to begin the week prior.
*Please Note: Launch and end dates are subject to change; the activation will begin no later than Wednesday, June 24th, and maintain a 10-day duration (TBD prior to commencement).

  • Each brand commits to:

    • Ship a selection of product samples* representative of current online mix directly to each influencer immediately upon confirmation of participation, to be styled and photographed both individually and alongside other featured brands.
      *Please Note: All products are in-kind contributions to the influencers and will not be returned; brands may provide one or more products to be highlighted per influencer. Please ship by June 16, 2020.

    • Ship a small item for inclusions in a pre-launch multi-brand photo spread and subsequent Instagram giveaway through which influencers and brands will cross-promote a preview of pop-up products. The giveaway will encourage new Instagram follows and engagement in line with contest guidelines.*

      *Please Note: These are in-kind contributions will not be returned; details for shipping/fulfillment will be communicated as guidelines are finalized. Please ship by June 16, 2020.

    • Fulfill all consumer orders directly through their own websites - to be linked directly from the Virtual Pop-Up Storefront - and ship across the U.S in a somewhat timely manner. Please notify UpNext and any effected consumers directly if circumstances arise that delay or complicate order fulfillment. We understand this is a tumultuous time for businesses to navigate, so communication is key.

    • Provide and actively promote an exclusive special offer, redeemable and trackable throughout the 10-day pop-up period with code UPNEXT. Value must equate to a minimum of 10% of average purchase, and be applicable to every purchase made (i.e. no threshold requirements). Examples include: free shipping, 20% off total purchase, complimentary gift with purchase, etc. Offers must be applicable to every order placed and submitted for approval to UpNext prior to launch. Offer must either be of greater value than any other promotions running in tandem on brand’s own site or partner channels, or combinable using code UPNEXT.

    • Promote the virtual event and exclusive offers as a collaborative partner using provided imagery and key messaging via all available social media, email marketing and web channels leading up to and throughout the pop-up period.

  • UpNext is pleased to donate 10% of all pop-up revenue for this period to the Black Women’s Health Imperative, the only national nonprofit organization dedicated solely to the health & wellness of Black women & girls.

Breakpoint Fee Structure: $100 Participation Fee or 30% of all pre-tax sales associated with offer code UPNEXT, whichever is higher
> The $100 Fee is due upfront via electronic payment upon confirmation of participation.
> Please track all pre-tax sales revenue processed with offer code UPNEXT throughout the full pop-up period. A detailed sales report and accompanying revenue share payment, if applicable, must be provided to UpNext electronically by end-of-day 7/7.
Sample Scenario 1:
Brand X generates $1,500 in revenue tracked via code UPNEXT over the pop-up period
30% of revenue = $450
$450 - $100 participation fee = $350 balance due
Sample Scenario 2:
Brand Y generates $250 in revenue tracked via code UPNEXT over the pop-up period
30% of revenue = $75
$100 participation fee is greater than revenue share breakpoint and no balance is due

Additional cost considerations include: product sample and shipping costs for host content creation and giveaway, special offer discounts/consumer product comps, processing and credit card fees.
