Creative Juices: The Shoppable At Home Experience

At UpNext, we are constantly looking for new and innovative ways to elevate the shopping experience, while creating a platform for brands we know and love.

In March 2020, when everyone was pivoting and unsure of what the future of retail would look like, we asked ourselves an important question: what do pop-ups look like when people need to stay safe at home? In April we launched our first virtual activation—hosting an online pop-up with eight New England-based brands.

From there, we popped up for three more virtual experiences—from a Mother’s Day themed event to a celebration of Summer.

For the holiday season, UpNext partnered with Kate from Domestikatedlife.com to bring our virtual retail experience to a new, more curated level. We went back to our network of amazing makers and brands and selected 8 business owners who were a perfect fit for our premiere Shoppable Gift Guide.

With Kate’s flawless taste and must-have products from each small-batch brand, we had a clear vision: when shopping from home, people need an immersive experience. We could deliver just that with an interactive magazine filled with products they would love, tips they would need, and recipes they would want to share.

In the weeks leading up to launch, Kate worked closely with each brand on custom gifts and products and the shoppable gift guide came together.
